Level 3 First Response Emergency Care

Intended Audience

​

The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder.

Among the first to arrive at a scene, First Responders typically include law enforcement officers, firefighters, and those providing medical cover at festivals and events such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Security Guards as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.

Course Overview

​

This informative, hands-on 5-day course fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations. The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers; administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more. Assessment Methods

​

6 x practical assessments/skills tests, 3 x theory assessments (multiple choice question papers), 1 x invigilated exam.

Level 3 Award for Emergency First Responders

Intended Audience

​

The QA Level 3 Award for Emergency First Responders (RQF) qualification is intended for those who are likely to be responding to an emergency incident, including: community first responders, emergency services personnel, event medical responders, cabin crew and first aiders.

Course Overview

​

Successful Learners will gain the knowledge and competencies needed to provide initial Prehospital care at emergency or life-threatening incidents, such as: managing a patient’s airways, dealing with catastrophic bleeding and managing major illnesses. 11 x Practical assessments/Skills tests and 1 x Theory assessment (workbook).

Level 3 Award for Emergency First Responders

Intended Audience

​

The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administrating in Prehospital care environments, such as: those working in the police force, fire service or private ambulance sector.

Course Overview

​

During this half course day, Learners will develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the safe, prompt and effective administration of emergency oxygen and analgesic agents.
